~ FREE SPEECH ZONE TOUR 2005 ~

In November of 2005, Free Speech Zone Productions went on tour with concerts of political music and film in New York, New Haven and Boston. NOW Ensemble and Newspeak, two up-and-coming, New York-based ensembles, performed the politically-conscious works of Frederick Rzewski, John Halle, Patrick Burke and Keeril Makan, along with works by Free Speech Zone organizers Judd Greenstein, David Little and Missy Mazzoli. The venues ranged from New York's legendary Knitting Factory to M.I.T.'s elegant Killian Hall, with capacity crowds at every show. The ensembles played brilliantly, and the response from both the activist and musical community has been overwhelmingly positive. Check out our complete program below, and listen to audio clips here.
